Alabama Auto Insurance Laws
Alabama auto insurance law requires motor vehicles on its’ roads to be covered by a liability insurance policy. The minimum amounts of liability insurance are 20/40/10. That is a minimum of $20,000 for injury liability for one person in an accident, $40,000 for all injuries in an accident, and $10,000 for property damage in an accident. These are just the minimum required amounts and motor vehicle owners can obtain higher levels of coverage.
Alabama car insurance companies will also offer optional coverage for collision, medical, and uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. These are good coverage to have to cover expenses and damage to your car.
